In conjunction with Stevie Ray's 66th birthday, a stunning new work of public art honoring the Vaughan brothers was installed at Kiest Park in Dallas, Texas.

The art, designed by Spanish artist Casto Solano entitled "We Are Music & Music Is Us," is a large outdoor sculpture featuring steel-cut images of the Vaughans, not far from where they grew up in Oak Cliff, along with their song lyrics.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the scheduled dedication of the new piece has been postponed—however, the City put this video together showcasing the piece and featuring commentary from Buddy Magazine editor Kirby Warnock and Jimmie.

There is hope of holding a dedication ceremony on March 20, 2021, Jimmie's 70th birthday, if the COVID restrictions are lifted by then.
